The Shed opened its doors in July of 2025 as the newest small business on Manor Farm in Ruislip. I started it as an offshoot of Go DIY, my repairs & restorations business. I now offer those onsite at the shop as well as a variety of teachings in the form of workshops, one-on-one lessons spanning topics of woodworking, sewing, repairs, and crafts of all types. The Shed also boasts a wide selection of sustainable and eco-friendly shopping from small businesses that make jewellery, skin care products, home scents & candles, hand woven textiles, stained glass pieces and so much more. Every maker choosing to partner with The Shed is passionate about making high-quality goods in an ethical way, which makes finding the perfect gift even more satisfying. Pop you’re head in if you’re passing by, I’ve always got a kettle on and am ready to chat all things up cycled.

our next upcoming workshop

In this hands-on workshop, participants will design and create their own custom wooden sign using reclaimed wood.  Perfect for beginners and DIY enthusiasts alike, this class guides you through each step of the process—from selecting materials to finishing your piece—so you leave with a unique sign ready to display at home or give as a gift.

All of these vendors have been showing at the market & around London for years and I’m more than thrilled to get to showcase them at the shop.

  • Elaine hand dyes the highest quality thread before weaving it into her incredible wares.  Tea towels, scarves, bookmarks, brooches, coasters... her pieces are every colour of the rainbow and are instant heirlooms in the homes they find.

  • Paul brings the heat with his range of chilli-centric condiments.  He caters to all tastes ranging from the milder Chilli and Cranberry sauce all the way to the infamous scotch bonnet based Scorchio, but our favourite has always been his Caribbean inspired Numero Uno!

  • Abi creates her luxurious range of self care products in small batches in her Berkshire garden workshop.  Her focus on high performance and quality ingredients ensures that every buyer gets an indulgent experience (without the luxury price tag)

  • Krusha is the consummate pet lover, so much so that all of her products are pet safe and her business is PETA approved and carbon neutral.  Her products are ethically and sustainably made, vegan friendly, and she plants a tree for each order made.  She’s also an incredible artist and The Shed is honoured to carry her oil paintings.

  • Amanda is an incredibly talented illustrator, artist and designer with a portfolio full of clients you’d recognise.  She’s trusted The Shed with a selection of her birthday cards, mugs, magnetic bookmarks and stickers in her trademark style full of bold colours and quirky details.

  • Teresa is an accomplished mosaic artist who has designed and created a range of mosaic craft kits which The Shed is proud to carry.  The kits are packaged in a cotton bag and contain everything needed to complete a finished mosaic piece, perfect as gifts or rainy day activities for all ages.

  • Alison makes incredibly unique jewellery that combines her love of silversmithing and ceramics.  She uses recycled, ethically sourced and upcycled silver, gold, and porcelain to create eye catching pieces that are perfect for every day wear.

  • Denise inherited her love of creativity from her artist father, and her range of sterling silver jewellery is all handcrafted so no two items are ever identical.  Her focus is on creating pieces that mean something to the wearer and makes each item with care, thought, and a little bit of magic.

  • Heather's work merges traditional techniques with contemporary design to create distinctive pieces that are playful, nostalgic and sometimes a bit spooky.  Her stained glass ghosts have been incredibly popular with visitors to The Shed, alongside her range of stickers, brooches, washi tape, and fused glass jewellery.

I started Go DIY in May of 2022 upon moving on from her role as caretaker for St. Matthews Church in Yiewsley.  I loved tending and updating the building and grounds, but wanted more scope and variety. As Go DIY I tackled everything from minor repairs and handy person work to fairly major renovations, most notably at St. Laurence Church in Cowley where I took part of the building back to bare bones and installed end grain flooring crafted from their old rafters patchworked together with tree trunk slices and various other bits of reclaimed timber. My focus has always been firmly rooted in “make do and mend”, and as such I also began appearing once a month at Duck Pond Market in Ruislip with a repair stall. My clients have kept me on my toes, bringing me everything from moth-eaten jumpers and too-long trousers to lamps needing re-wiring and furniture requiring reupholstering, but my favourite jobs have always been the sentimental ones. Repairing and refinishing an heirloom wooden sewing chest dated at over 100 years old went straight to the top of the list! Alongside the repairs and renovations, I have been commissioned to make various one of a kind items and have stuck firmly to my reclaimed ways there as well. An oversized throne made from pallets and Christmas tree trunks, a shadow puppet theatre complete with hand painted audience seats, a woodworking apron from denim with leather scraps for pockets, the more eclectic the ask the more exciting the task! Finding a work space was a long and exhausting process, but after three years of searching I finally got my lucky break and became the newest tenant on Manor Farm, a heritage site in Ruislip. I now continue making do and mending from The Shed, a multi-use space I created to draw like-minded individuals together for repairs and workshops, and have maintained my links with the loveliest of market traders and small sustainable businesses by providing retail space for their wares.

She has helped us with clothes and furniture repairs/alterations over the last few years, and she always does an outstanding job! She is an amazing fixer upper, and an absolute planet saver as she never lets any materials go to waste; she always sees a way of recycling/ upcycling and creates the most beautiful furniture or clothes out of just about anything. A very talented lady indeed, five stars from us!!"
